I am conflicted. on one hand it looks really clean. but on the other, it is almost 30 years old and has somewhat high mileage.

Honestly it looks great, and it's the oval dash 85 so you're good there.
I wouldn't be concerned with the mileage too much, with the amount of maintenance you (are supposed) to do with these cars, 108k isn't terrible. I bought my 86 with 107k.
If hes got a fresh timing belt/clutch change (t-belt within the year, clutch, within 5, and as long as it has a spring centered clutch disc and NOT a rubber one) then I could see 4500. Do NOT accept "I got it done at this time" without absolute proof, because the t-belt needs to be changed 30k/3 years, because interference engine, and to properly tension it, you need the super awesome 600 dollars Porsche tensioner.
The car is in great shape, see if the rear cargo area cover works (I don't know what it's called, it's this shade thing that you can pull out), if it retracts, that is awesome, means it means it was taken care of.
I dont see a lot of 944's with the strut brace, I would assume that this guy has tracked/auto x'd it a bit.
Either way I'd buy it.

Seems like a very clean example of a hard to find clean example car. Buy it!

it is so tempting. I'm selling a vehicle currently but life stuff is looming. A typical jalop conflict

yeah, t-belt, cooling system, and clutch are priority #1.
The brace could be a "this might be nice" purchase or an autoX purchase.
It looks clean but it could of just got painted and cleaned to sell. I am coming up on a little moneyz soon but in a true jalop conflict... not sure if 944 or life stuff :'(

It doesn't seem to bad from how I see the engine bay. I've done a trillion t-belts (never on a 944) but I could be wrong

I am probably the one that is wrong. After all I don't work on Astons and don't have the same level of expertise

Get the 944!
I'm inclined to think that it still may be the original paint, he still has the front valence with 2 pieces, rather then the later 1 piece that most people put on. And also has the Porsche underneath the license plate.
Also, if you get it, make sure the rear speakers work, in order to replace them you've gotta pop out the rear quarter glass. And again if you pick it up, you could have a chance to get some money back.
That front valence like I said is 2 pieces, and highly sought after for people looking to restore their 944 for a period correct look, so you could offload the whole front end for close to 1,000 bucks, and pick up the updated 1 piece front end for 300 bucks.

You are lucky though to be in a time when you can reach in your pocket, go on your potato, and look up all the process. Even order parts while on the pooper. As for the mechanical work... it's all just nuts and bolts, that's all. I bet there is even some DIY videos on youtube.

108k miles isn't most definitely not high for a car like this. Mine has 118k, that's not even high in comparison to some that have in excess of 180k miles and up.

I am sure there is. I recently changed the alternator in our F150 and the potato was my guide to success. The internet is an invaluable tool for us Oppos

N/A 944's really don't got for a lot, because a lot of them were well taken care of, so there are alot around these days in decent condition. Finding the turbos/S2's is the difficult journey these days, and everyone asks for an arm and a leg for them.
No problemo man!

Yeah, from what I've heard is that if it's the original turbo, prepare for a rebuild. Plus a clutch job on a turbo version adds on like another 4 hours, because of the wastegate and extra piping
